A reminder only works if it reaches you. Notifications get buried, silenced or swiped away without being read. Automated reminder calls fix that by turning a reminder into an incoming phone call that rings until you deal with it, and they keep doing it every day without anyone dialling a number.
The short version: Remindavo places automated reminder calls for the events on your Google or Outlook calendar and for reminders you write yourself. A voice reads the reminder out loud, for example "Client call with Northwind in 5 minutes". You set it up once; after that the calls run on their own.
Automated does not mean robocall. Remindavo only calls you, people on your team, and family members who have confirmed with a code that they want the calls. Every call to someone else says who set it up and lets them press 9 to stop.
Manual Reminders vs Automated Reminder Calls
| Manual (alarms, notes, notifications) | Automated reminder calls | |
|---|---|---|
| Setup per event | You add an alarm for each one | None once your calendar is connected |
| When a meeting moves | Old alarm fires at the wrong time | The call moves with the event |
| How it arrives | Banner or short chime | A ringing call that reads the reminder |
| Phone in a bag or on silent focus | Easy to miss | Rings like any incoming call |
| Recurring routines | Separate alarm for each | Daily, weekly or monthly schedule |
How to Set Up Automated Reminder Calls
Create a free account. Sign in at web.remindavo.com or install the Remindavo app on iPhone or Android.
Connect your calendar. Link Google Calendar or Outlook. Timed events get a call before they start, and changes on the calendar are followed automatically.
Choose how you are reached. With the app, reminders ring like a call on your phone. Verify your phone number in Settings and Remindavo can follow up with a real phone call if an app alert is not answered.
Add Custom Reminders for everything else. Write the reminder as you want to hear it, pick a time and repeat it daily, weekly on chosen days or monthly.
That is the whole setup. From then on the calls arrive by themselves, including for meetings that are added next week.
What People Automate With Reminder Calls
Meetings and client calls. A call a few minutes before each meeting reads out what it is, so you join on time without watching the clock; see an app that calls you before meetings. Daily routines. Medicine, a morning start or an end-of-day check, set once and repeated; see medication reminder calls and the wake-up call service. Appointments. Doctor, dentist or school pick-ups that live on your calendar; see phone call reminders for doctor appointments. Focus-heavy days. If notifications slide past you, a ringing call is harder to ignore, which is why it helps with ADHD.
Automated Calls for Family Members
You can schedule reminder calls for a parent, partner or teenager. Add them as a contact; we text a 6-digit code to their phone and they read it to you to confirm they want the calls. The calls work on any phone, including a basic one, with no app for them to install. Calls to a contact are part of Premium.
Automated Calls for Teams
Not every meeting deserves the same call. Remindavo Teams lets each person set rules: call 15 minutes before external meetings, stay quiet for internal ones after 6pm, always call for a VIP client or for anything titled "Interview". Remindavo reads each meeting's guest list to tell internal from external. Teams is $59 a month for up to 5 people, plus $12 a month for each extra seat.
What It Costs
The free plan includes 5 real reminder calls or 14 days, whichever comes first, with no credit card. Premium is $10 a month with unlimited calls, which works out to less than a single missed client meeting. For a wider look at the options, read the best reminder apps that call you.
