Thai mobile operators — all supported

Thailand has three active mobile network operators (MNOs). AIS (Advanced Info Service) is Thailand's largest operator by subscribers, operating nationwide on 4G/5G. True Corporation PLC — formed from the merger of True Move H and DTAC in March 2023 — operates the True Move H consumer brand and the legacy DTAC brand in parallel during the post-merger transition. National Telecom (NT), the state-owned successor to TOT and CAT Telecom, provides mobile, fixed broadband, and international gateway services, with a smaller mobile market footprint than the two private operators.

Thai mobile numbers are 10 digits in domestic format and begin with 06, 08, or 09. In international E.164 format, drop the leading 0 and prepend +66: 081-234-5678 becomes +66-81-234-5678. When adding your number to Remindavo, select Thailand (+66) and enter the number without the leading 0.

Thailand time zone: ICT (UTC+7)

Thailand operates on Indochina Time (ICT, UTC+7) permanently — no daylight saving time, no seasonal offset changes, ever. ICT is shared with Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi), Cambodia (Phnom Penh), and Laos (Vientiane). This consistent offset makes cross-border scheduling within Southeast Asia straightforward for Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and the Thai-Cambodian, Thai-Lao, and Thai-Malaysian border regions.

The main scheduling complexity for Thai professionals is the ICT offset against the UK, EU, and North American time zones, which shift twice annually with daylight saving. When the UK moves from GMT (UTC+0) to BST (UTC+1) in late March, Bangkok goes from 7h ahead of London to 6h ahead — a change that causes UK-Bangkok meeting invites to shift by one hour on participants' Thai calendars.

Bangkok → Singapore / KL

ICT (UTC+7) is 1 hour behind SGT/MYT (UTC+8). When Bangkok is 14:00, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are 15:00. No seasonal shift — both zones are fixed offsets.

Bangkok → London

6h ahead during UK summer (BST, UTC+1, late Mar–late Oct). 7h ahead during UK winter (GMT, UTC+0). When London changes clocks, Bangkok meetings shift by 1h.

Bangkok → New York

11h ahead during US EDT (UTC−4, Mar–Nov). 12h ahead during US EST (UTC−5, Nov–Mar). Bangkok–New York meetings overlap in early morning Bangkok / prior evening New York.

Chiang Mai digital nomads

Chiang Mai is one of Southeast Asia's top digital nomad hubs. ICT (UTC+7) is the same across all of Thailand — no difference between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Remote calls from EU/UK clients land mid-to-late afternoon in Thailand, making a reliable reminder call essential.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Remindavo work with Thai phone numbers (+66)?

Yes. Remindavo fully supports Thai mobile numbers with the +66 country code across AIS, True Move H, DTAC, and National Telecom (NT). Thai mobile numbers are 10 digits in domestic format starting with 06, 08, or 09. In international format, drop the leading 0 and prepend +66: 081-234-5678 becomes +66-81-234-5678. Select Thailand (+66) in the Remindavo country code dropdown and enter your number without the leading 0. An immediate test call confirms delivery before your first scheduled reminder.

What time zone does Thailand use? Does Remindavo adjust for Thai time?

Thailand operates permanently on Indochina Time (ICT, UTC+7) — no daylight saving time, ever. Remindavo uses your Google Calendar or Outlook's time zone setting. Ensure your device and calendar are set to Asia/Bangkok and Remindavo will automatically call at the correct lead time before each event. There is no Thailand-specific configuration needed in Remindavo.

Is Remindavo compliant with Thailand's PDPA?

Yes. Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA 2019) has been in full effect since 1 June 2022, administered by the PDPC under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. Remindavo processes only the minimum data necessary — your calendar event times and your phone number — under your informed consent, consistent with PDPA principles of purpose limitation and data minimization. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Does Remindavo work in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya?

Yes. All Thai cities use the same time zone — ICT (UTC+7) — so there is no intra-country time zone complexity. Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, Khon Kaen, Hat Yai, and all other Thai cities are all UTC+7, and Remindavo works identically for a Thai mobile number registered to any of them.

I work remotely in Thailand with clients in the UK and EU — does Remindavo help with time zone shifts?

Remindavo calls your phone before the meeting starts on your local clock. The underlying scheduling complexity (UK DST shifts that change the ICT-GMT/BST offset from 7h to 6h twice a year) is handled by your calendar app — Remindavo just reads the UTC event time and calls you at the right moment. For digital nomads in Chiang Mai, Phuket, or Bangkok who frequently reschedule with EU/UK clients around DST transitions, Remindavo eliminates the most common failure: the meeting invite changed time on your calendar but you didn't notice.
