Romania observes Eastern European Time (EET, UTC+2) in winter and Eastern European Summer Time (EEST, UTC+3) from late March to late October, following the EU Daylight Saving Time schedule. Clocks move forward on the last Sunday of March and back on the last Sunday of October.
Romania is always exactly 2 hours ahead of the UK and always exactly 1 hour ahead of Central Europe — the offsets are constant year-round because all these countries observe DST on the same EU schedule. Romania shares its time zone with Greece, Bulgaria, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Remindavo reads all calendar events as absolute UTC timestamps and converts to your local EET or EEST time automatically. No manual timezone adjustment is ever needed.

Does Remindavo work with Romanian phone numbers?
Yes. Remindavo fully supports Romanian phone numbers starting with +40. It works across all four major Romanian mobile operators: Orange Romania (owned by Orange S.A.), Vodafone Romania (Vodafone Group), Digi Mobil (Digi Communications N.V. / RCS & RDS, the largest operator by subscribers), and Telekom Romania Mobile (Deutsche Telekom). Romanian MVNOs are also supported, including Lycamobile Romania (operating on the Orange network) and Carrefour Mobile. Romanian mobile numbers follow the format +40 7XX XXX XXX.
Is Remindavo compliant with Romanian data protection law (GDPR / ANSPDCP)?
Yes. Romania applies the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), supervised by the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP — Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal), headquartered in Bucharest. Remindavo collects only what is necessary to deliver the service — your calendar event times and phone number — and never sells or shares your personal data with third parties. You can request data deletion at any time at web.remindavo.com/delete-account.
What time zone does Remindavo use for Romania?
Romania uses Eastern European Time (EET, UTC+2) in winter and Eastern European Summer Time (EEST, UTC+3) from late March to late October, following the EU DST schedule. Remindavo reads event times directly from your Google Calendar or Outlook as absolute UTC timestamps and calls you at the correct Romanian local time automatically. No manual timezone adjustments are needed.
Is Romania always ahead of the UK and Central Europe?
Yes, always. Romania (EET/EEST, UTC+2/+3) is always exactly 2 hours ahead of the UK (GMT/BST) and always exactly 1 hour ahead of Central European countries such as Germany, France, Austria, and the Netherlands (CET/CEST). All these countries observe DST on the same EU schedule, so the offsets never change at clock transitions. Romania shares its time zone with Greece, Bulgaria, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Does Remindavo work for remote teams with members in Romania and Western Europe?
Yes. Romania's tech sector — from UiPath's Bucharest headquarters to the Cluj-Napoca IT cluster — is deeply integrated with Western European clients and colleagues. Remindavo handles the time zone arithmetic for every team member: a Romanian developer receives their reminder call at the correct EET or EEST time, while a colleague in Berlin receives theirs at the correct CET or CEST time. Calendar events created in any time zone are read as UTC and converted correctly for each person's local number.
Does Remindavo require a Romanian SIM card?
No. Remindavo works with any phone number in any country, including +40 Romanian mobile and landline numbers. There is no requirement to be physically in Romania to use a Romanian number with Remindavo. If you travel between Romania and another country, simply update your number in settings.
Remindavo calls your Romanian +40 number before every Google Calendar and Outlook event — automatically, at the right EET or EEST local time. Free 14-day trial, no credit card required.
